Osteopathy is a comprehensive evaluation of the mobility of organs, joints, cranial bones and soft tissue. When things move as they should, they function as they should.
Assessing mobility within the body through Visceral Manipulation, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy and Joint mobility allows normal patterns to return. The goal of a Manual Osteopath is to restore normal mobility of these areas and therefore normal function allowing for decreased pain and dysfunction.
Manual Osteopathy is covered by most Extended Health Care Plans.
**Please review your Insurance plan to check for coverage as not all insurance plans accept all Osteopathic Associations. Call the clinic for more specific information on the therapists associations**

Jennifer Young is a Lamaze Childbirth Educator and has been teaching Childbirth Education Classes in the Ottawa since 2005. Jennifer has undertaken training with Ottawa CEA, CAPPA Canada Childbirth Educator and Lactation Educator, and has taken Birthing From Within training. She is a DONA trained doula and has attended many births in between giving birth to her own three children. Jennifer has witnessed home, hospital, natural as well as cesarean births. In addition, her own three birth stories are unique, having experienced a cesarean birth for her first child, which encouraged her to enter into the childbirth field as a teacher. Her first birth gave her the strength and courage to facilitate empowering birth choices which enabled her to have positive natural births for her two younger children.

In addition to working as a Certified Childbirth Educator and Doula, Jennifer is also a Registered Massage Therapist and certified Yoga Instructor. She furthered her yoga training and now teaches many styles; however, her passion is working with pregnant and postpartum women.
